i have 4.10's and i drive my car a lot..its not daily driven (though right now it is as the beater is out of inspection).
When i had them put in 2 years ago i loved them, until this summer (1.5 years later). i dont race so much anymore and theyre really a pain in the *** to daily drive. if you want something fun and not too worried about shifting ALOT!!! then get the 4.10s
my mpg went from about 18 city (about 22 mixed) to 13 city cause i cant seem to keep my foot out of it. i do fully believe that the stangs should have come stock with 3.73's for naturally aspirated models.
as for highway, 4.10s will put you at about 2500-2600 rpm @ 75 mph in fifth gear. i should know, i was just on a highway about 10 mins ago doing 75 for a majority.
the only thing that i can see that benifited from the 4.10's is the use of 5th gear and the fact that its usable now.
when/if i do my irs swap, im keeping the 3.55's that are stock.

i had slp loud mouth 1 and catted x-pipe (loud as f*ck for a catted system) with the 4.10's and made a 4 hour trip from Philadelphia, pa to Pittsburgh, pa and all i had to do is turn the music up and i was golden. the only time i heard my exhaust was when accelerating past a car.

My family live in Fernandina beach, aka. Ameila Island, I go their every weekend, plus UTI is full of honda kids and they all talk smak . i dont wanna beat them i want to blow them out of the water to shut them up....Im sick and tired of them talkin crap about mustangs..

Then add something to actully make it much faster like nitrous and drag radials. I know some people who went to MMI and wow the parking lot at UTI is all imports. There used to be a guy who went there with a 04 comp orange GT and it was nice had same mods as me minus nitrous it really hauled ***.

my buddy has 3.73s and im not impressed with them. he only jumps a fender ahead of me and after like 70 i pass him.

I feel what your buddy with the 3.73's is feeling, but I wasn't impressed with 4.10's! Do the 4.10's. You'll be at 2500rpms at 75mph and 2700 rpms at 80mph. They are not bad on the highway at all. Car pulls in 1st and 2nd. 3rd and 4th aren't that spectacular. I had a 1/2 car length on my buddies C5 auto up to 80mph, then he blew by me. I'm full bolt ons, 4.10's, and street tires.

I know the guy who drives the SRT10 Ram. But from what i hear its just like you said all rice, which kinda makes me laugh that those are guys who want to go to school there the most. Because most of them have no idea how to work on a car.

I have 3.90's in mine and absolutely LOVE them! I drive about 5 miles of highway driving 65-70mph and i just push the gas a little in 5th and don't have to downshift to pass. I was tired of all the debate on 3.73 and 4.10 so I went in the middle and have never questioned the decision....until Christmas when the 2.1 KB goes on, we'll see how the fair with the p/d blower.
BTW- I still get 19-21 MPG and I don't drive easy all the time!
