Default Need Some Help ... New 5.0L Owner!

Hey, I am 20 years old and just found a 1990 Ford Mustang Lx (Trunk Style), 5 speed, mint interior with some trinkets missing, and a no rust exterior with about 180,000Km and picked it up for $3600.00.

I live in the Stoney Creek / Hamilton area in Canada Ontario and am in need of assistance for buying parts and where to get em put on. I got some info to go to steeda.ca but have since found cheaper and looks like same quality parts at americanmuscle.com.

If someone can help me out on where to buy things and where to get work done would be the better help for me. Everyone wants to rip a 20 year old off with a Stangalini

I bought it as is ... and have since done nothing but brakes. In the next 2-4 weeks I would just like to get a tune-up and all the fluids changed ... for example rear end, trans, oil, rad ... and grab plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve. I think after that is all done I can start on my dream car.

I appreciate any help that is givin ... My e-mail is johnjohn1987@hotmail.com or msg me through the forum. Take care Ciao

American Muscle is good. Use discount code(discount code removed, dont post this to the public)-Spike. Other guys on here may know other codes as well. Free shipping on everything.

You can find "scratch and dent" parts from AM on ebay under "xoxideinc"

Stangsuspension.com is also very good and offers the same discount/code. They may also have unadvertised discounts if you give them a call. I just saved some $$ of an already very good price on some parts I bought just by asking if they had any discounts.

As far as installing parts, try to do as much as you can on your own. There's plenty of help here and on many of the boards. You'll get a lot of satisfaction and save some money on doing the less technical things yourself.

hey man! finally another canadian :P
i live in toronto with my mum right by the airport, and on some weekends i live in hamilton with my father, right by the airport again. w5 and limeridge....actually right by mohawk.

first off welcome to the boards.
second off where the hell did you get a mint 5.0 for that little in canada.
third theres a place out in peterborough that does nothing but mustangs and i think theres another one out in oakville somewhere. everything for the best type of cars is out in the country.

this is the friendliest board you will find and definitly the most intelligent ive found. however if you ever break something or are looking to improve/add to, go to GTAMC.com, theres a few people there that own little shops all around toronto and theres also a bbq commin up soon thats really being promoted through emails and stuff. if you have any questions or need any help, feel free to ask. and again

welcome!

You're not suppose to be posting the discount codes. They should be sent privately to people. Thats how the codes get out to random people.

I see your point and I'll be more careful about that from now on.

I only knew about those codes from just guessing on both of them as well as another popular site.

Please dont post discount codes out like that. Otherwise they can be removed if over used and thats what happened to the other codes they used to have.

someone quoted my first post with the code faux pas so now the codes are still visible. i guess the quote needs to be edited as well. sorry for the hassle.
