Default Strange Noise in da Hon-dizzle.

Ok, this actually isnt in the mustang, this is in the Honda.

Anyways, it has disc brakes in the front, they need need new pads and im gonna put those in tomorrow. They have been squeaking for about 2 weeks.

Now the question i have is yesterday and today i have been driving on the highway and every now and then i will keep this chip/scrape/squeak that lasts for maybe 1/4 - 1/2 a second, it is loud, i dont hear it in the car but with the window down i DO hear it.

It almost sounds like a metal on metal scrape, but very fast.

Could this be the "wear" pins on the brake pads hitting the rotors?

The noise has me a bit freaked out, normally i barrel down the highway 85-90mph (i think, my speedo is broken but when my wife follows me she tells me im going about 85) in the little ****** cause cops cant seem to pick it up on radar... (aint kiddin either, ill baja right pst a cop, gotta be going over 20 over the limit, thier radar gun is out and they never pull me over.. lol...) The last thing i need is for my suspension to bust apart on me when im on the highway

Did you mean the brakes or the radar?

metal on metal is somethin in ur break shoe or disc or w/e. same thing happened on my moms old lincolin and eventually she blew the break shoe off completly and send it right through the rim. get it fixed/ looked at asap

lol.. i checked the pad today, the indicator metal pin strip thingy is definatly touching the rotor when the brake is depressed.

unfortunaly i had to work today, but this is on top priority tomorrow to fix.
