gears and dyno tune

is it true that the dyno jet reads your cars hp wrong when u got gears making it seem like u lost power when in reality u didn't. That it shows u lost more power with power steep a gear?

YEs that is true. It is small, but it is a number. But in real world of going down the street or track, you feel the torque multiplcation of the gearing.
