what are some good alarm systems?

Ive heard alot of good things about the Viper systems.

Yeah I was looking yesterday on ebay at the Viper System and it was going for like $180. I am most def. getting one for my next vehicle I get. A guy here at work has one called a Code Alarm System.

I was gonna start a thread as of this until i saw this one, curious on whats the best and so fourth, alot of option out there and features to drive one crazy!

there is an alarm system on crutchfield called Crime guard 650 and the 750i. Anyone heard anything about those our just that brand in general.

Im debating between those and a Viper system at bestbuy installed for $310.

I am new to all these, but from what I have read and ask around the Viper seems to be the best on the market

dude...you're around here. Don't bother. That's the first thing they car thieves disable. Nobody in the bay area pays any attention to them. You might as well set the 1000 bucks on fire for all the good it'll do.

+1 when people hear an alarm go off no one even looks anymore to see whats going on. Most people just get annoyed and say "damn I wish that guy would turn his alarm off"

I have Lojack. It's about all you can really do aside from being careful where you park. If you're gunna pop a grand on an alarm... come and get that IRS instead.

def not spending more than 350 on an alarm but the irs would be sic if i had a grand to blow =)

How much does lojack run, was looking on there site but they have no prices listed?
