Default EGR Delete pic...

I had a request recently for EGR delete how-to stuff, so here's a pic of mine. You MUST update your tune to eliminate the ECU's expectation of it being there or you'll get a CEL. That's about as bad as it's going to get though...

Here's the connections as I have them. Feel free to edit, append etc or submit corrections if needed to me via PM and I'll fix the image.

If you have access to a welder, you can weld the hole shut on that adapter that plugs into the exhaust manifold.

R3d,

for the little black box, what the heck is that? I have one on my 96 but its some silver thing with to outlets..same deal?

Also, if we have an adjustable FPR where does the vacuum line for it go??

Little black box? You may be referring to the DPFE sensor. Vacuum to the FPR should be any normal vacuum source that comes from the manifold.

I think its the same thing, just mine is not plastic lol. As far as the FPR is it ok to run from the plenum?

Sorry to totally get off topic in the EGR Thread lol

plenum will give manifold vacuum signal so you're fine there.
