Default Need help!

I have a 02 mustang gt with slight mods. Everytime I punch it in first, the shift gear light comes on instead of me burning out, or could it be that because my tires are almost bald that it is spinning and bogging down. I know that I'm not shifting too late. Any expierianced mustang drivers got any suggestions? Any! When I get new tires is it going to be a huge difference?

The shift gear light?

Are you sure thats not the traction control light? Did you turn that off?

the light looks like a super charger. I don't have a manual so I assumed it mean't shift. But to answer your question, no the traction control was on. Does it mean that it is on when you push it and it lights up? Or does that mean that it is off?

push it light is on... TC is off ...then no bogg. TC stops power though the rear incase of tire spin when it is on( when the TC light is not iluminated)
