which optima battery model fits in a 02 GT battery tray without having to modify it? thanks for any hlep

Not sure about the question, but an Optima is the way to go.

Hows this for the awnser. Get the optima and a 4 guage amp wiring kit and relocate that battery to the back. It is the perfect battery to do the relocating? It won't leak! And better weight transfer!

optima wont fit in the tray like a factory battery will. Go to an auto parts store and measure a 58 or 59 series battery (same size) and measure an optima to see what has to be modified.

Optima Batts are smaller, many vendors sell brackets for them, check ebay.
