If im not mistaken don't the 99-00's have different hood lines then the 01-04's... I only ask because im looking for a hood scoop for my 00 and I don't want the scoop to not line up with the grooves... if someone could clarify that would be great.

 

the 99-04 gt's and 99-03 v6's have the same hood. the 01-04 gt's had the hood scoop standard, the 01-03 v6 had it as an option. the 00 Spring time edition had a hood scoop that wasnt as dramatically big as the 01-03.

 

so if i buy any GT hood scoop it will be flush with my hood lines?

 

Actually the 99-00 are slightly different than the 01-04.

Stephen, you can either get a 99 35th anniversary scoop, or an 01-04 scoop.

I put an 01-04 on my 2000 hood. I had the body shop do it, he said it wasn't hard but he made it work. looks good too.

 

There's directions floating around on the internet somewhere if you want to tackle it yourself. But it's really not that difficult. I drilled one hole and the rest is held down by tape. It doesn't look quite like factory, but you'll probably be the only one who notices any differences.

 

i think theres suppose to be 4 holes, in each corner if im not mistaken.
