Default Optima Battery Confusion

The American Muscle website says that an Optima type 34/78 battery fits a 2007 Mustang. However, the Optima website says to use a type 35. Which one is correct?

I wish that I had an answer for you, hontestly the best thing for you to do would be to call AM or Optima because most of the AM forum reps. don't do much around here anymore since Nick moved on or whatever.

Regardless... Great battery.. Used to have a 1200 w kicker amp and L7 sub combo using those batteries.. They are just funtastic! Held up to moderate vol.. being played for well over an hour and car started right up no problem.
One of those kind of batteries that will be your first and last one to purchase for that car..

Good luck on fitment!

Go by what Optima tells you. And get the RED not the yellow top. Trust me the RED top last longer in a daily driver then the yellow top will.

I have had both and the red is better if you start your car everyday. I now have the yellow top since the car sits sometimes for weeks.

Just bought a red top last week after my original finally took a dump after 6 years. Good stuff never been told anything bad about them.

They are great batteries. I have used the Yellow in my F150 which I transferred to the mustang. Then after 7 years it died so i now have a red top in the mustang and in my 1954 MG.
