Can you paint chrome rim? Cause i wanna get black rims but i cant afford them right now since im gettin ready to go to college! So could i paint my rims or is that just not going to be possible?

 

just sell em and buy black rims.......they are cheaper than chrome so you should prob come out close to even........................and I personally wouldnt paint em

 

IMO, i'd keep the chrome.

 

Paint is not going to stick to well to chrome...it will chip and peel off easily...not recommended

Yeah i wouldn't paint them. Can't you pick up 03 Cobras in black for like $129 a wheel on am? You'll probably break even like he said.

 

Yeah its something like that! Im gonna go ahead and do that, But i get the money first casue i dont wanna sell my rims and have the car sitting on block for a few days, Its my daily driver and my parents wont let me use their 4x4!

yea i think i got my black wheels for around 520 or so. be sure to order centercaps or keep the ones u have because the flaming M's that come on the wheels is...well...gay.

i had some silver painted cobra wheels and they were a bitch to sell w/out the centercaps.

 

Yeah not to many people want some rims without some center caps! Im just gonna go ahead and buy new rims and center caps! Now all i gotta do is find someone that wants rims!

 

might try a local car show, prolly be ur best bet to sell'em or craigslist.org

 

FYI

Just so you know, the 01 Cobra/03-04 GT factory rims are NOT chromed. They are polished aluminum with a clearcoat.

Go with some black DD bullitts....
