My Mach1 CF hood is arriving tomorrow.
Im all stoked about it, but then i started wondering if i need a heat shield? or should i just be able to transfer the GT heat shield and cut a hole in it?
also... my GT hood is in real good condition very very light color fade from the stripes, gotta know where to look and catch it in the right light to even see it.. Any idea how much i could sell it for?

No!
You do not need a heat shield.I don't even have one on my hood. They are not really a heat shield anyway. They are incase of a fire and they are supposed to drop off and smother the fire out.

Glad to hear it. I think they are ugly.
lol....
It actually does prevent damage from your hood. If you look at cars whos not had them for years, youll see baking in the paint and some even start to warp.
