Default 2002 front wheel bearings

So, I have this ever so slight whine/hum that I can't put my finger on. It changes tone based on speed not RPM. I yanked all the wheels and could move my front right brake rotor side to side and up and down ever so slightly (maybe a 32nd of an inch) but could not move the left at all.

So I popped the bearing cover (that has stamped on it, DO Not Remove, Bearings are permanently lubricated and adjusted). Is this true and the bearings are not the problem? Has anyone ever had a wheel bearing go bad on their 99-04?

what you have up front is called a hub assembly. the bearing is pressed in with the part the has the lug studs on it. the cost of a new one runs between $80-$125 depending on where you buy it. and yes, they can go bad, just about any part that moves can go bad. the warning on the side is basically say dont **** with me or you'll be worse off than you already are.

Thanks, So you're telling me I can't just repack the bearings like the old days? Gotta love advances in technology
