finally installed, New axles and sub-woofer. Hooray Beer.
The 98 cobra axle I have has seen better than 150K miles and while I replaced the gears and diff and bearings, I didn't have the axles on hand.
So, now I'm riding on superior 28 spline's. Install took the better part of a couple hours. No big deal. Had my neighbor help out since he's got all the killer tools and was starving for a few bucks. Got rid of a lot of road noise.
The new sub is a gimme from the in-laws cleaning out their garage. It's a helluva nice little 8" in a tidy box that strapped easily into the trunk. With that and a 10" bazooka tube there's no lack of bass response. Too bad I listen to old school thrash metal. The bass spends most of it's life turned down a peg.
