First off, take out the instrument cluster and take off the stock bezel and faceplate.
Then you need either a Dremel rotory tool with the cutting discs, or a hacksaw blade.
unless yer real good with a dremel and controlling it, use the hacksaw blade.
take the hacksaw blade (needs to be a thin one) use it to saw between the plastic lens and the piece it is glued to. should only be 4-5 small areas to hack through.
be VERY VERY careful to make sure you saw through ALL of the glued areas, dont try to pry it off or IT WILL BREAK.
Then, once that is off, put on the faceplate, and use epoxy to glue the lens back on.
it is a real bitch to do. that is the way i did it, took a couple hours.
There are some writeups about this, but that is the way to do it.

I actually removed it by prying. I went real slow with a very thin flat screwdriver. There are like 4 areas that are glued. I got in as close as I could and pried a little, moved up closer, and repeated. The glue broke loose for me as I went. Just be very, very, very careful and slow about it. I could see how prying too much from too far away from the glue could break the lens. The whole job took me about 1 hour.

Hey Jack where did you get your gauge faces from? I havent really looked that hard but even when I did I couldnt seem to find a white face with black lettering. I also think it is cool that it goes up to 240....
