One 93 octane tune is fine. You can have existing tunes modified as long as its by the original tuner. A tune cant be modded by a new tuner.

by tuner do you mean the person or the XCal2 Tuner itself.

One 93 octane tune is fine. You can have existing tunes modified as long as the original tuner/ shop/ individual is changing it. A tune cant be modded by a new tuner/ shop/ individual.

Just curious if you plan on doing the gear install yourself? We did mine in my garage and we had absolutely zero trouble. Just get the backlash set correctly and your in. If you are buying FRPP gears you will more than likely just use the old shim and all will be good. The shim is under the pinion gear by the way and is hard to see if you're not used to looking for it.

no, im most likely having Evolution Performance do the work. theyre a local tuner that is mainly mustangs but they work on other cars too.

about the tune thing, i got an xcal 2 from AM and they put a 93 tune on it i talked to jon lund and he said that while im at evolution that he will swing by and tweak the tune a bit to give me some extra hp and have my car run better so i think you can have someone else play with your tune. and by the way he said hes gonna do it for either free or like 25 bucks!!!

Jon is the coolest guy ever. alot of cobra's around here (VA to NY) are running his tunes.

if you are ever at SVTP, look for the Mid-Atlantic cobra association, he is in that group. off the top of my head, Redfirebeast is running a "street tune" on race gas made by jon. 700-800+ on the streets of Exton, PA. lol. im gonna have to give Jon a call

I think some tuners can put passwords on their tunes to keep other people from looking at them. Either way, when he gets the car dyno tuned, the shop will just write over the AM tune, or put their tune in one of the other slots. They wont just adjust the AM tune.

Its not good to share tunes behind the tuners back, they are very protective with those things. Its how they make their money.
