i was driving to work today and as i turned a corner the car cut off, it will not restart it doesnt even crank, when the key is in ACC pos it does nothing. all i get is a the door chime noise, my headlights work, and hazards. I check battery connections, shift linkage, i did just change and ALT 2 weeks ago and put a small audio system in2 days ago. it was runing fine till today. any ideas of what to do?
2 people told me its the ingition switch

 

alternator not connected correctly and a short/miswire in the new audio system drained the battery? Ground cable from battery not secure.

 

checked ALT it was good, thoguth it was the amp but when i disc the power to it, and tried to get boosted it wouldnt start still nothing even happend. i will replace the ignition switch later tonight after work. ITs good being a techie, get to sit around waitinf 4 stuff to break.
