Default Transmission?

What would every think would be a good tranny fluid for my 06 GT, I was thinking of doing a flush and adding royal purple MAX ATF, It says it will provide better shifting and lower temps.

Any suggestions would be greatful

Thanks

I am a user of Redline products so I suggest their D4 ATF. If you want a good deal on it, synlubes.com.

you need to look in your manual and see what type of auto tranny fluide it takes. Royal purple may not be compatible with your tranny.

I'm sold on it basically from my experiences w/ my moped. I started out using Amsoil for it and I noticed at some rpms, it would 4-stroke (on a 2-stroke, this means the plug is firing on every other stroke instead of every stroke). When I switched to Redline, this problem was gone and the exhaust was smokeless as well. Also, for the trans, switchin their Racing ATF made the shifts so much firmer and quicker that on hills that I's be stuck in 1st, after the switch, it was able to go into 2nd. This is why I go w/ Redline except for the engine due to price (for that, I go w/ Mobil 1).

several dyno tests have confirmed taht if you change out the oil, trans and diff fluids for RP stuff you usually see 3-8hp gains. Yes it's that good. RP oils are VERY difficult to light on fire so if you're trying to use it as pre-mix oil then you're going to have a bad time.

I'm a redline guy for the diff, amsoil ATF for the trans and whatever I can afford 8qts of for the motor any more.
