Default which throttle body?

I am about to install some 4.10 gears soon and have alittle extra cash to get t.b. but not sure what brand to go with. I was thinking bbk but wanted to know what other brands to consider. I like the Accufab and hear it is the best but how much better or different is from others? Plus I really dont need all that "bling" from the polished look. If only they made it plain jane. Anyways any advice would be great.

I wouldn't waste my time with the TB... It will make minimal gains...

If I was you I would save my $$$ and put it towards suspension or something else....

what else do you have done to your car...

So far pretty much stock. I have K&N filter, H&R springs, 18x9 and 18x10 blk buillt rims w/ Kumho estca MX 245's and 295's, Steeda Tri-ax, and flowmaster mufflers. Right now I have $500 to play w/. So am going to put in 4.10 in the rear ( i have can get them installed for $125 ) So that leaves me w/ just enough to get a t.b or cai. I have around alittle under $200 to spend. This is pretty much for christmas so I have some time before i make a decision on another mod.

how are you gonna correct the speedo? speedcal or a tuner? if ur going w/ a speed cal..look for a used catted midpipe...if ur going with the tuner, then go w/ any used midpipe (u need to turn off the O2 sensors if u go w/ an off road pipe)

Well I know of a pretty good dyno shop around here and in about 3 months I am going to get a sniper chip and a good dyno tune ( after a couple of other bolt on's) so I will hold of then to re-cal my speedo. This is pretty much my weekend car so I am not worried about that right now. So if you recommend a t.b which brand or what other mod for now should I go with.

If I went with a used mid pipe, where could I find one for under $200. Plus I would have to get it installed. I rather buy everthing new anyway. Should I go H pipe or X pipe? Either way, that is out of my range for now. After the holidays we have tax season!!! Mabe then I will do headers and Mid pipe. But in the mean time Should I get the bbk or the accufab?

I didnt spend anything on the install. Me and my roomie did it in our garage. Took Like an hour or so because the damn header bolts didnt want to come off. So if you want, just bring it by my house and we'll do it for you.

Yeah, i will probably go that route. It sounds like a simple install so I should be able to do it myself. I will give u call when I get it and if you want to help me with it that would be cool. But will I notice any difference in pick up? I know it will breathe better but overall will i feel it?

+1

and the mid pipe install wasnt bad...it was tedious....the passener side header bolts are a pita...it took me about 2.5 hrs to put it in (with a trip to sears cause i broke a swivel)

if ur going w/ an o/r pipe..dont worry about it being new or used....the only think u need to be worried about is rust but most of them are stainless steal....with a catted pipe...make sure that the cats are not blown out..if theyre not..then ull be fine
