Default Where to buy cobra bumper?

My mom backed into me today and left a tow hitch indentation in my bumper. I really like the look of the cobra bumper, and I think I will replace it with one Where can I find an OEM bumper for cheap, and how much does it usually cost to have these painted?

Hey i like my cobra front bumper. The only problem is you might have to get the hood also. I orginally wanted the hood only but it didn't line up right with the mach 1 front end. So i hade to get the cobra front end with the hood. Anyways it looks great. Oh and total after everything it was like 600 for the bumper fog light and paint! And they did a hell of a job on it!

check out www.virtualbodyshop.com. Typically they cost about 370 ish and come to you painted to match your factory paint code. I have bumper and 2 fenders from them and they're great. Paint is really good, panels fit like OEM and they cost less painted than just painting costs normally.

My only question is would these be as durable as an OEM bumper, and would there need to be more paint prep? I would consider getting this if I knew it would look right and not look like some aftermarket ricer bumper that doesnt line up right.

Yea i actually got mine from ford. I got it from the body shop after i decided that i wanted to hit the back of an impala (with no break lights) doing about 10-15mph. They said the aftermarket bumpers are a pain in the ***. (Could be the ford people just talking) Anywho I think the bumper was 300, the foglights were 50 and the paint was 200. If i remember correctly. I'm not sure but will check my reciept tommorrow to let you know because i cannot find it at the moment!

How did your paints match? From the factory, there is a small variance between colors of the same code depending on when they were painted.

Damn, now you guys got me wanting one of these. I need to replace my bumper anyways because of a minor fender bender. My current bumper is fine functionally, but has a gash where it got hit, and torn away from the fender liner, which I'll also need a new one of as well. I've just been trying to focus my spending on go right now and not show, but it would sure be nice to have my stang all clean looking again.

Randy how much would a Cobra front bumper and new passenger side fender liner cost out the door painted to match, or even primer'd if thats all you have? I may be able to arrange my own pickup / shipping if its a good enough deal.

Also forgot to ask, how much is the Cobra Fog Lights and is there any fitment issues with the hood on the OEM Cobra bumper when using on GT or with the Fog Lights wiring? That's too bad about UPS, ever thought about FedEx or DHL. I mean they all tend to have issues breaking stuff, but they seem to break stuff less. Also what is the shipping dimensions and weight for the bumper?

2 fogs $114.84
2 bezels $19.18
2 lamp pig tails 13.24
weight on the bumper cover is @15lbs

the paint code is basically a tie to a mix code that's how all the blue cars come out with the same color blue. Automated color blending is so common it's in Sherwin Williams stores now... In the age of digital imaging there are no more worries about blending unless your car is older and the sun has faded it a bit.
