aight so i got pulled over a few days ago and he made mepop my hood and i have the cai from (http://www.americanmuscle.com/muv6coairins.html) and soo now i have to go get my car smogged, andi jsut want to make sure that for a fact i can pass smog with this intake RIGHT??? or do i need to put my stock one aback on for the test>

Get a K&N CAI and it comes with a CARB #, which makes it legal

 

i have no fuking clue he pulls me over asks me for my lisence and stuff then goes backt o his car and runs it and then comes back and is like so wat have you beeing up to tonight ( member its only like 1030) , can i take a lok under ur hood and i was like uggh i guess sure and soo i pop it and he was like so do you ahve anythign ilegal and i was like well the guy before put on some kind of intake ( even though i did) but other than that no. he was like umm ok well i am gonna have to write u up for the intake and then for no front plate and i was like wow ummm ok , he was a complte fuking *******, but wateav nothing i can do about it now, just get it smogged and get teh plate thing just signed offf

 

Damn, that sucks dude. Some cops are major ********, he must off been trying to meet his qouta or something. Well good luck with you smog test, I'm glad we don't have that kinda stuff were I live.

BlackStang21 where in Cali do you live? Cali are known for being smog ****'s, but it's actually somewhat of a good thing in the grand scheme of things. Nobody likes breathing smog in their city or little kids getting asthma because of it.

 

In NJ, we prefer our own distinctive smell...

San Jose huh. Nothern Cali is the worst when it comes to cops pulling you over for parts. Some cops are even trained in what parts are legal and what are not. Also, with no front plate your just asking to get pulled over.

 

Dublin....about 25 miles north of you. Yeah, Cali and the Bay Area don't take smog issues lightly. Yeah, some cops will pull you over and look right under the car to see if you have cats.....and Mikeaveli, that reminds me, I should put my front plates on

Yeah, there are a few Cali stangs in here, but most of the people on here are from the east coast where they don't get to drive their stangs year round like we do! ha ha ha.....No, I didn't go to the DUB show. I've never been to that show. Was it good?

Yep, I've been to Apex, but I haven't been to any of their stang shows. I hear they are pretty cool shows. I actually tried to have my car tuned there, but it didn't work out cause they were to busy....don't want to bash them, but it was not a very good customer service experience....plus I wanted someone that could actually spend time on my car and get it right rather than doing the minimum because they have 20 other cars to tune that day. That was just the impression I got, but it could be totally different when you actually get there. Just my impression that's all.

I'm not sure about nitrous, but I think your ok as long as the bottle isn't hooked up on the street. I guess you could tell the cop you use it at the track. I would try to hide it as much as possible.
