I was wondering how much a used 4.6L complete engine run? 10,000 miles. Im thinking about selling mine and buying a complete forged/aluminum one.

$1000-1500 is the norm for a complete used motor.

what? 1500.. naw. Around here a used pull out 4.6 is 300-800 if you're lucky enough to get someone to come take it away. 5.4s are 500-700. Both of those are for longblocks+intake+exhaust+cover+pan.

If you can get someone to pay you 1500...take it and run.

dropping one in is really simple so I'd say buy or rent a hoist (or drop the K-member, attatch motor, jack-up and install k-member&motor combo). Getting a shop to do it is usually 4-8 hours labor charge at whatever rate your shop charges.
