Default Filter Housing Mod.

Alright i found this on 3.8mustang.com but its a universal mod that GTs can do also. Its for the guys that dont want to spend a lot of money or dont have that much to spend. Free easy mod if you have a Dremel.

And it doesnt take 3 hours to do if you know what you're doing. Probably took me 30 min.

Just something fun and easy to do. I recently took my CAI out replaced it with stock w/o the air silencer, and a K&N. MY CAI was making my engine run bad and slow. Plus i would only get 16 mpg it the city on a V6 with no "Heavy" driving. So im just going to see if my mpg improves. And the car runs better after I took the CAI out.

I kinda used the same concept with my GT. But instead of cutting out my filter housing, I used the housing left over from my mach. The K&N filter was in my mach also and I bought a recharge kit for it, gonna be cleaning it tonight.

Another thing...Does anyone know an easy way to replace tubing from the Air box up to the intake?? I dont wont a metal tube because it heats up to easy thats wat happend on my old CAI. I just something with the same concept as stock minus the ridges it has in the middle.

use black PVC. If you're skilled enough you can even make a bend in a long straight piece so you don't have to use wonky couplers. A heat gun works well in that effort.
