Who's done this?

I just bought a do it yourself kit at Pep Boys and in the instructions it says to find the lower AC service port. Now I have found two service ports, one is close to the radiator that is in the lower position, and the other is to the left of the engine close to the rear fire wall, both have black caps. The quik connect hose with the check meter that came with the kit will only fit the port on the left side of the engine close to the fire wall.

Is this where I hook up the recharge kit? Thanks to all, Mark M

 

The low side is the one close to the firewall on the upper side.

 

the connection on the hose only fits on one of the ports, its the smalller one to be exact(assuming your car is newer). this is done on purpose to make sure someone doesnt try to charge it from the wrong side.
