I would definitley get the full A pillar, 3 gauge, pod. It's a cleaner looking install. I'm a autometer gauge fan myself.

Get a PA alternator, so you don't have to worry about volts then get oil pressure, water temp, A/F ratio gauge. I would get electrical not mechanical, you don't want to get in an auto accident and have hot oil and coolant getting on you, though they are more accurate.

i've seen those gauges, but not to sure about them. Autometer has always been a great product for me. I had a full a pillar in my 95 mustang GT, and my 03 lightning. I have a dual pod in my convert, but if they made a triple pod, full a pillar, i would buy it. The dual pod isn't that clean looking.

Water temp 40-45 bucks
A/F ratio 50-60 bucks
oil pressure 40-45 bucks

Sometimes you can find good deals on ebay, and they're new.

I have a 2 guage pod on mine, its perfect. Sometimes I wish I went with 3 since I could use a nitrous guage

I have lunar series autometer gauges. they light up a tourquoise color (will get pics tonight). they match my autometer cluster main gauges. I have a trans temp and A/F ratio gauge on a dual A-pillar pod. Lunar series are more expensive than the other autometer gauges.

Prices all depend on what application it's for.

What gauges were you wanting, as in for what app?

Ok, Autometer guages or don't bother buying guages at all. Everyone uses autometer for a reason. They're perfect and durable. Don't mess with success or Texas.

A-Pillar pods block some of my view and periodically reflect the headlights of cars behind me into my eyes at bad times. I put mine in custom... one on the steering column in a Autometer pod, the other 2 just below the TC/Defrost/Foglight buttons. A quick rip with a hole saw and you have a perfect clean install.

You can make an autometer guage light up in just about any color with the correct colored light bulb or bulb condom (Phantoms come with red and green condoms in the package).

Red is best as it disturbs your night vision the least. Other colors are not generally any good for your eyes at night.

As for what guages to get, oil temp, water temp, and whatever else you need to monitor.. like nitrous pressure, or A/F ratio, or differential temp, or boost/vacuum. Decide your guages based on what mods you have... not the other way around.

The cluster pod is nice looking but it rattles in every car I've seen them in. NO bwaynoh.

Go with the triple and autometer. As stated above get gauges that match your mods. If you have a stock car with basic bolts ons I would not bother getting gauges until you get something that requires you to monitor it.
