t-56 would be the best

and yeah, t-45 sucks hardcore...i hate mine

Yeah try and go with the t-56, or the 3650, but honestly, you would not regret the T-56, 6 SPEEDS are so much fun!

 

T-56 normally requires a 1" shorter drive shaft (99-01 cobra DS works with T56 yoke) when put onto a 94-04 with a live axle. I don't know if the 3650 or T56 permit the use of mechanical speedo sensors... IIRC all the 99+ cars that the 3650 and T56 went in had totally electronic speedo sensors.

Why not just have a tranny shop build the T45 to handle the power or get a TKO. You'll have the fewest issues that way. You can also have a T5 built to handle the power. No need to toss a perfectly good tranny.
