Default 96GT o/d question

Got the 96Gt 4R70W with o/d. It cuts o/d off at 80mph is there a way to eliminate the 80mph cutoff? I need it to carry out 3rd gear but when it hits 80mph at w.o.t. it shoves it into o/d. I have the diablo performance flip chip is there a way to program it into that? Thanks:surrender

I'm sure you could but that seems like a job for a tuner they would know more about that kind of option.

I think you have a little confusion here.....anytime your over 40 mph, you'll want it "on"...I'm still not getting it why would you want to

because when at WOT he is getting 4th gear at 80mph i tihnk is what he means. Just press the o/d off button when racing etc..

Keep in mind you never want to go into 4th gear at wot at all. Its not made for it.

I do hit it off when racing. Anytime over 80mph it automatically shuts off and if Im going over 80mph it will not turn off.

4.10's are probably responsible for the 10mph reduction. Just a guess.

When you're running wide open throttle with it off and you hit 80, what RPM are you at just before it kicks into 4th and what rpm does it drop to after it kicks in? That could maybe help us figure out what exactly is going on.

Heres what I got, 1st goes to 6,000 RPM's shifts at 39mph, 2nd goes to 6,000 RPM's and shifts at 71mph, and 3rd shifts at about 105 at 5,100 RPM's, and my o/d light shuts off at 80mph. Is it only supposed to get up to 5,100 RPM's and shift into 4th? Thanks a lot guys!
