Motive or FRPP
#3
I got motive and my installer said that they were harder to set up than frpp. He could'nt set them up without a wine, and he was suppose to be a good installer. Pretty soon I'm getting another set of frpp gears, with the tuner and RP gear oil.
Thats a nice car man, have you posted any pics of it yet. I would like to see some.

Well, supposedly Motives with ratios 4.10 and up whine a bit more than other gears. but I have yet to confirm this.
So long as you have a competent installer that you trust and has handled Motive gears before everything should be fine Be forewarned though, FRPP gears tend to have na eaiser backlash to setup, and many shops sometimes only will do FRPP installs.

FWIW I had a guy at my local Ford dealership install mine at his house. He has been setting up 9's and 8.8's for 30 years and he told me that frpp gears are the best. He said richmond gears and some other brands may or may not have a whine to them. My opinion is that Ford knows their engines, trannys, and rearends better than anybody. Stick with the blue oval and be proud knowing that your gears are not in a chevy or mopar. Unless they were smart enough to put a rock solid 9 inch in.
