Hi, i am new to the boards. I own a 2001 cobra that currently has a p1sc procharger system. i have had it for about 7 months. I wanted to replace my p1sc head unit with an F-1 head unit so i can run a lot higher boost. where can i buy just a new head unit?? are there any for sale here? also, it should bolt right in where my p1sc head unit was, right????

 

Any Ideas?

 

i am sure you can upgrade but why a f-1 just get the d-1. I hope you have a built block though. Those cobras with the aluminum block can and will go boom on alot of boost.

 

yeah, cast iron block with forged internals, fully built!!!! I already blew up my stock motor with only 6 lbs of boost,hehe.

 

Good guy I know has a 99 corvette C5 and had a P-1sc. He upgraded to the F-1, it all just swapped in place, BUT he did make custom brackets, i dont think he liked how the F-1 was places since it was HUGE. BTW, the F-1 whistles like NOOOOO other, even just at idle.

EDIT: I think he paid at least 2300 for just the headunit.

 

theres a mach1 runnin round here with an f1...and damn it does whistle loud even at idle...makin somethin near 600 hp
