Greg, i ran into the same problem doin my brakes on my '02, we used a "C" clamp and turned it down tight and twisted it, and the piston started collapsing, just keep turning it by hand once u get it started.

The C-clamp mentioned above would work for your fronts, but would irrepairably damage the rear calipers of your car.

We used the "C" clamp on the rear also and had no problem/damage, maybe i got lucky.

Is this what you are tallking about, I got mine at autozone. It fits a 3/8 drive and works on many makes and models.
