Greg, i ran into the same problem doin my brakes on my '02, we used a "C" clamp and turned it down tight and twisted it, and the piston started collapsing, just keep turning it by hand once u get it started.

Lots of companies make that style of tool, I just used that one since I have that company bookmarked. That type gives you enough leverage to actually retract the piston. Sears sells a "universal" caliper tool that is shaped like a cube and has six different patterns for different types of caliper and fits on a socket extension. I tried that one and ended up throwing it away. The kit I linked to will work for most, if not all, calipers and will be useful any time you do a brake job. The C-clamp mentioned above would work for your fronts, but would irrepairably damage the rear calipers of your car.

We used the "C" clamp on the rear also and had no problem/damage, maybe i got lucky.

Is this what you are tallking about, I got mine at autozone. It fits a 3/8 drive and works on many makes and models.
