Default Vaccum problem here........

Well I had to ditch the stock vaccum hoses to make room for the nitrous and I just bought ordinary vaccum hose from autozone. Theres only one hose that Im having a problem with. Its the hose that goes from the passengers side valve cover to the bottom of the intake elbow.

The stock hose is hard rubber or plastic i think and I replaced it with a softer hose. Now, when the car is idleing, the hose is closed itself up because the rubber is so soft.

So at idle i dont believe that any air is going through the hose. But when I rev the engine up.....the hose opens and air flows through.

My car "bucked" when i took off at one red light for some reason. Maybe I let the clutch out too fast i dont know.....But yea I know I just need to get another stock hose but will this hurt my engine the way it is now?

i dont even know what yo ur are talking about take some pics and show us. the only thing that comes off the passenger valve cover is the hose that goes to up to the plenum. a vacuum line is those little red things that come off the plenum and driver side fuel rail.

Yea that big hose to the plenum. Most people dont even know what those red things are. I figured most people would know what I was talking about. OK that big rubber hose.I think its the one with the black box attatched to it.

that hose is hooked up to some kind of checkvalve right off of the valve cover then goes to the black box. put the stock one back on if you have to cut then cut it if its not long enough the then your hosed.
