slappy stop being a godamned woman and get DD. they are the best lookin modfor our stangs here, this guy has DD FR500s w/ 335 Hoosiers, mabey this will help convince you to stop being a pu$$y

I dunno, the problem is COST. i can get a set of 17x9's for 518 or so, getting the deepdish will bump that up to about 600.
Im sure im gonnaa be spending even MORE on the tires for the deepdish. Come on, that **** is expencive.
Anybody here wanna tell me what thier 9 front/10.5 rear PLUS tires combo ran them???????????? if it is only a matter of 100-200 then im cool with that.

Adding weight with DD in the back is a mixed bag. Yup...traction should be better...way better, but driving in the rain requires white knuckles.
More weight in th eback will also help with traction, but slow you down a bit. 18" wheels also slow you down for some of the same reasons.
Stiffer side walls also create problems with traction.
This is why drag wheels are smaller and have much more side walls. More side wall=better traction.
So you see it is all a big balancing act.

Ok, so this is a Daily Driver right, everyone is saying that the 10.5 suck on wet pavement, and im sure it is even worse in snow.
Well, i live in colorado.
So. I dunno, i think the DD would definatly look sick, but if they cause traction problems on everything but dry pavement, i dont think it would be a good idea. unless i keep the stock rims with some good tires for winter.

i have 315s i live in colorado too, they suck sure, but as long as you dont drive like the woman you are, youll be fine

I just ordered deep dish black FR500's wrapped with 255/295 BFG's... cost right at 2 grand. Including warrenty and crap through discount... So it all depends on the tires you get... BFG's = A buttload of $ + good traction and looks cool 
Sumitumo's = Cheap + look dumb and suck with rain and snow.
Plus they made a good point, selling your stockers will help you out with payment.

well, the dish vs regular - the weight isnt a factor...really.....now wider up front = better handleing, wide in back = better traction.... wider tires in the rear are better for draggin - but also remmeber they create more friction - so they will benifit someone with more power better, will they slow u down - no not really b/c u can dump it higher off the line so u might actually be quicker bc ull hit 2nd 3rd and 4th sooner... now taller tires create more torque but loose hp - for mustangs 18's are all good - 17's might pick up a 1/10 if u have drag tires on both - u wanna really pick up time then get 15" welds and fat *** hoosier drag slicks... but thats not street legal and u will get pulled.. so go with 18" and good drag radial (street tire) - ull look pimp and pick a 1/10 or two!
