Default Tranny fluid questions

I was doing a little research and found this on the forums. https://mustangboards.com/general-te...tr-3650-a.html

my question is he says to use Mobil1 Dextron III ATF fluid. I did some looking around to see about how much it was going to cost to do a fluid change and I was only able to find Mobil1 synthetic. I could be wrong but I thought mobil1 only made synthetci fluids in the first place. Would the synthetic version be ok to use??

Exxon Mobil makes a Mobil brand conventional oil. Mobil 1 is the synthetic version. So saying Mobil 1 synthetic is redundant.

Why not use Royal Purple Synchromax?

Either is good. Royal Purple has more marketing finesse.

Just get Mobil1 Mercron V synthetic and toss it in. There is really nothing special enough about RP to warrant the money for it.

Redline D4 ATF. Smells like hell but makes a difference. Personally, for extended change fluids like the diff and trans, I like to go top notch, but that's my personal belief.
