Default Any Metallica fans?

Anyone in here still like Metallica? Granted the last album sucked ***** about as much as the Jonas Brothers, but I started listen to clips on their website and got excited again. Anywho, the album (Death Magnetic) comes out next Friday, but by way of magic, I'm listening to the full album as we speak. It is pretty damn good I must say. Very thrashy on a lot of the songs. Sounds like a cd I can listen to all the way through.

Yeah, I like Metallica. Been listening to them since the sandman days. Some kinda monster, is a cool vid. Plus that M.I. soundtrack. Those guys are pretty harcore in their music and thier lifestyles. But they don't pretend to be anything less either..

And if you've seen any interviews with them, they don't really like each other very much either.. Sad but true.. Great song there..

I went to 1 of the 3 concerts they had this year in the US and let me tell you....it was amazing!!! There was over 30,000 people there and they played for about 2 hours or something like that.. I'm not the biggest Metallica fan but they put on one of the best live shows ever...

Im liking the first 2 songs they had out to listen to. You can now hear the whole album on youtube if you search for it.

25 years and change I guess. The first release track was ***. Total monkey ***. The newest one is pretty good. I'm still pissed at them for the black album though. Maybe I'll download it from bit-torrent.

Yeah I don't know about the first track they released. The vocals aren't very good, but all the other songs on the album are much better and the vocals sound a lot better. I got the torrent yesterday. Some cd store in France sold the album early so it's making it's way onto the internet.

This is the first song on the new album.

I like the black album, but anyone who says that Load was them selling out is wrong. Technically they started changing with the black album even though it was a good album. I'm 26, but I've been a fan for at least 15 years. I have all the albums including the Garage Inc., and the Live **** box set. Nothing will compare to Master of Puppets and ...And Justice for All, but I believe that older bands do have to adjust to keep up with the time. St. Anger sucked *****, but I bought it and I haven't listened to a single song since. This new album though is pretty damn good in my eyes. I've been listening to it the last few days and there are definitely some riffs in there that remind me of the Puppet/Justice days.

heres another song off the new album. It's called All Nightmare Long.

load wasn't a sellout... hell they never really sold out. They're still badasses and anyone denying that is blind to reality, myself included. The black album was the watershed event of style change. They were exploring new sounds and forgot that the fan base wanted the old sound. Fast-n-loud or not at all. Capping off the black album with N.E.M. was like the ending to St. Elsewhere... it was just totally disappointing and showed a lack of fore-thought.

I agree with the sellout crap. Just cause a band starts to change, doesn't mean they are selling out. These days you have to have music videos and radio play or else you don't get paid. I liked most of Load and half of Reload. Overall they are a great band and to be a metal band and last for as long as they have is a major feat. Still one of the best bands ever live.
