Country is so gay nowdays.
Half of these guys are dressing up like a punk rock band, and busting out **** about how their dog left them and their wife got hit by a car...haha.
Garth Brooks should beat all these new country bands asses.

But not all and there still are some good ones out there in the world of Country.
Justin Moore
Chris Young
Ray Scott - although, I haven't heard anything from him in quite a while.
George Strait
Jake Owen
Jason Aldean
There are more but just a few I had in my head at the moment.
Right now music is definately changing. Some for the good and some for the not so good. Even the artist that I tend to listen to and enjoy there music have songs that I don't like. I listen to mostly the (what I consider the true country artist). If one of the (what I call - pop country songs) comes on, the station gets turned.
Look at the older country like in the 40s, 50's and 60's they had the pop country influence mixed in with the more hardcore country.

I have always loved country music. I do listen to blues, rock music, classic rock and appreciate both. In fact, I listen to some LIMITED R&B which, surprises most.
But what can I say when you grow up from the time you are a little kid in the country and work on 500 acre farms (which is why at 27 my body is a pile of ****) an you can quote harvest times and yield productions verbatum, country is kind of in your blood.

Love real country, but nothing made in the last 30 years even qualifies. Modern stuff sucketh except for a couple <cough, sorry for being a fahg> Garth Brooks songs which aren't really country anyway but he wears the hat so it gets the label.
Mostly I dig on Conway Twitty, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and such. Old school hard core "my daughter drank herself to death" sort of country.
I am a metalhead from the 80's but I like lots of different stuff.

I'm a die hard southern rock fan, but I learned to love headbangers rock cause of all my gf's and my wife is a die hard metal rock fan, But now that I'm older I enjoy all types of music. Country music has its appeal. I listen to Nascar on the radio when I'm in the pool and it's on a country station. I'm also being drawn to music I loved as a child. Oldies from the 60's. not necessarily rock, but the " top 40" stuff. 4 Seasons, Avengers, that type of music. Also blues rock makes me listen too. Only thing I can't stand is Gansta rap ****. That makes my ears bleed..
