Why is it a good idea, and can anyone explain to me the general use of tuners? I just know a little about them, but can someone break down the basics of them for me, and what they're all about? thank you much

Tuner tunes your computer...
Its like a dyno tuner, but not as advance and you can hold it in your hand.
Adjusts things like timing, A/F ratio, speed limiter, rev limiter, etc.
Needed for most mods on s197s.
On all cars improves gas mileage, power, throttle response.
