Default Update on Venom "Ready for a surprise"!

I have been having issues with my 98 4v Cobra engine swap and it was due to faulty work of the last shop. The current shop DAgostino is working on a new setup with an new 04 Cobra blueprinted block with 04 Cobra stage 3 MMR heads, Sullivan intake and a D1SC with 8rib kit. The rear end has been built and also dropping in a tubular kmember,Bassani headers and midpipe.

Here is a pic of my old setup and how things are now. Hopefully in a few weeks I should have it back.

I could of purchased a Cobra but they get stolen alot down here and are very common. Im going for something different and I have not painted the car yet as its impossible to even think about paint when there is still work going on under the hood. To get 550-600hp on a Cobra you still have to invest some serious money into it. Anyway you slice it HP costs $$$$ there is no way around it. I like my SN95 and have no envy with any other stang.

what are you doing with the B heads and intake? I'm interested in them and I know 1 other guy in the 5.4 swap thread that would probably jump on them.

I cant do anything yet as I may take the shop to court and ask a refund of parts and some labor. If its better to sell the parts I ll post it up, theres alot of high $$$ parts. Other Idea I have was to make a coffee and end tables .

Here is a link to some pics scroll down to the procharged Cobra my engine will be similar but that Cobra has an F1.

that thing should be a sick beast man! good luck let us know how it turns out.

also as far as 03/04 cobras go...there are certain things you can do to make them unstealable.

kill switch, remote controlled kill switch, the club, fuel pump cutoff switch, and you can even get LoJack (which is definitely worth it), and your insurance will give you a discount on it too.

you can get shatterproof glass as well (expensive, but worth it).

My silencer alarm system makes it virtually impossible to steal. Theres a little auxilliary outlet under my steering wheel with a silencer chip. When you get out of the car, you take the chip out, and even if you have the key, the car won't turn on without the little chip in the auxilliary.

Haha, not being a smartass, but seriousely. I have heard alot more stories of cars just being picked up and dragged away than broken into and hotwired around here. If you can park your car so the towtruck would not be able to pick the rear up... ie for most people, facing the street.

Yeap thats why you have to have several security measures and not rely on just one.

Yeap thats it but dont get too excited as thats the F1 but it will have the intake tubing coming forward like that setup. I think the engine will look more symetrical and different for sure.
