i have a 1989 mustang with a 308 cid naturally asperated small block 11.1 comp
isky .512 lift solid cam and 8.8 spooled rearend with 4.56 gears c-4 trans with hughs 3500 stall converter and 10.5 nitto drag radials. our sity foot times are 2.28 and cant stage the car above 1500 to1600 without pushing through the lights any ideas.

 

I think you already know the answer.... trans brake.
