don't forget they're pretty heavy for the power they make.

Too bad Gm decided to quit production of them. They are actually very good looking as well as strong running muscle cars. I saw a beautiful yellow and black one while back. Eye candy..

Smoked one a couple weeks ago. A guy I work with has one and we ran the 1/4. Got him by a car out of the whole and stayed like that the rest of the race. His is a 2000 WS6. Beat a genIII camaro a few days after that, BAD.

I would rather take a WS6 over a Camaro. They look a lot meaner. Yes they are heavt, but they can be made pretty damn fast.

Jaybird - you gotta sexy looking WS6 by the way. What do you have done to it?

GM hasn't made a good looking F-body since 1973.

it was only 295hp and 320tq with a 2800 stall. But that was when it was an automatic.

damn, those are strong numbers for a stock auto......I know people on mustang websites say they smoke WS6's and camaro's all the time, and some might, but the others are either full of crap or the person in the LS1 couldn't drive worth a damn...A win is a win, but a 99-04 bolt on mustang gt is going to have serious trouble with a stock LS1, let alone one with mild boltons or any other mods.

I agree with you 100% I've raced a stock '02 SS, and a lightly modded '00 (I think) SS, and beat them both. But they were definately no slouches. The 00 beat me one race, but I got him the other two. Stock for stock it would definately be a good race.

Yeah but also no matter how fast and powerful the car. its the driver that controls it to see how good it runs. a great mustang driver vs. a bad SS driver the mustang can easily win

talk about adding more weight to an already heavy car. I saw a 03 GT today, with like 22 inch rims. looked ridiculous.

They're scary fast man - LOL

Yeah I had to post up on this old thread too since I'm a T/A driver hiding behind a pic of my girl's car

My '98 LS1 T/A did 291hp/327tq stock auto. To date only mods are CAI(SLP lid), cat-back(SLP Loudmouth), SFCs(Kenny Brown DD), and some minor tuning (LS1 Edit). The car's biggest problem is traction on the street. Especially for me, I also have a line lock just for fun and I usually roll around on hard, worn, $15 used rear tires. Can you say smokeshows? I've been on both sides, lost to cars I shouldn't have and beat cars I should've got left by. Any of us have, nobody wins 'em all. As far as 20s go, yeah I'm sure that car had no forward bite, not to mention that it had to be hideous looking. Oops, I mentioned it

Even I will take a shot at the T/As though, in particular WS6 hoods! That big snorkel is too much. I have the flat steel hood, but the 'glass Firehawk hood is the only other I'd consider having. The 'hawk hood is ram air, but is just 1 gaping hole that sits lower(much better profile) the the dual scoop-on-top-of-scoop WS6 design.
