Unhappy 1/4 Mile Times....

Well I ran the stang with the new tune and here are my numbers:

60ft: 2.0
330ft: 5.9
1/8: 9.1 @ 77mph <------- Runs out of some serious steam.........
1/4: 14.1 @ 97

It was about 79 degrees outside with a track temp of 90 degrees. I only got 3 runs in and all of them were 14.1 or 14.2 as always I ran out of steam at about 80mph. I am hoping my 4:10 gears takes care of that problem. I am hoping to get at least a .5 improvement after I install them, and that would take me to a 13.6 which is not to bad for all motor......After I install my 100 shot of Nitrous I am hoping to hit a 12.2 or a 12.5 which would be about a 1.1 or a 1.2 decrese in my ET. With 4:10's what do you think my Trap speed should move up to?? I'm thinking at least 103 to 105mph???? Thanks for any insight.

You wont be hitting 12.2....think more realistic like 12.8......when its all said and done. your 1/4 mile isn't too bad right now.

Not bad 60ft time and not bad track temp. when i went it was 88 degrees but 130 on the track. Do you have an auto, and what else mods you do have, the 4.10's will help out.

Yes its an auto, i really hope the 4:10s help out with it feeling like its cutting down on power!!!! It used to feel like at about 70 it died, now it feels like that at 80mph....

Get yourself a higher stall converter and valvebody. Also a tranny cooler. and a good tune for the nitrous. You should get good gains from that. Also chucking some weight wil help out as well. Also think about getting some LCA's and UCA's and adjustable shocks for the back.

2.136/60'
8.934/80.81 - 1/8
13.79/100.62 -...
That was my best run. Havent repeated that yet. Have had several 13.9s, one 13.8.
Just went to the dyno today and discovered that the SLP X-pipe I added didnt make a whole lot of differance at least on the dyno. I could feel it on the street...at least I thought I could.

Judging by your times and dyno numbers I should be able to pull consistent 13.8's and hopefully 13.5's after some 4.10s
