Default Good morning. Question about returning exhaust parts.

Hey everyone, hope all's well with you.

I had a question concerning the SLP Loudmouth Axle-Back Exhaust ($314.95).
From what I've gathered here and elsewhere, these are pretty loud. If I get them, install them, and they turn out to be "to" loud, can they be returned simply for that?

How about in general? Can merch bought from MT.com, be returned simply because the result wasn't I had hoped or thought it would be?

Examples:

Loudmouths to loud.

Exhaust parts change the engine sound to much, to where I don't like it.

An appearance accessory doesn't quite pull of the look like I thought it would.

Those type things, where the merch isn't defective, it just live up to expectations.

I'm just quoting a part of the return policy listed at http://www.mustangtuning.com/info.html Chris will probably get on here and verify for sure though..

Returns will not be accepted for any of the following: chips and tuners, Diablo Sport and SCT products, custom-order panels and bezels, any custom-order or made-to-order items, non-defective items that have been used or installed on a vehicle, and body kits. Under no circumstances are mounted wheels (tires on them) returnable. Issues with these items must be taken up directly with the manufacturer.

I don't know of any company that allows you to install and exhaust and then send it back unless it is defective. It is used at that point and can not be sold as new. You really need to do your own homework before buying exhaust. Listent to other cars...listen to sound clips and make the best possible decision.

Try the loudmouth II, it's not quite as loud as the loudmouth 1 but still might give you what you're looking for. I have the II and love it.

As stated, if the exhaust is installed you wouldnt be able to exchange it for another exhaust because it has been used. However, with SLP, it is a modular system, and those loudmouth resonators are always in demand. Therefore, if you ended up just selling the resonators, then you could make some money off of that and just to go SLP direct and purchase the LM2 muffler/resonator thingy.
