Default Installation problem (Mustang V6 Cold Air Intake Kit (99-03 V6)

Today I recieved my Mustang V6 Cold Air Intake Kit (99-03 V6) from you guys and went right to work on installing it. Everything was going smoothing until I had to reconnect the MAS to the inlet tube. (step 6 on your instructions.) The problem is the MAS tube is too short to reach the inlet tube comfortably, and even if it could, the end of the MAS is too big for it.

Also, what exactly is the other hole with the rubber washer further down the tube. Am I supposed to just plug that? There's no mention of it in the instructions.

This whole process would have been so much easier if you had just provided a picture for each of the steps.

Did you connect the (IAT) Intake Air Temp sensor? Its supposed to go in the rubber washer so it plugs it up. And you may have the wrong sized tube coupler on the wrong place. also if its still not reaching you have to move the couplers around till you get enough slack so it does.

The fact of the matter is that before I installed anything, the stock intake only had one MAF input. One hole for me to unplug, now this new CAI has two. One with a short, thin metal tube sticking out near the top, one with a rubber ending near the bottom.

The MAF doesn't fit in the metal tube, its too small. However, it does fit fine in the rubber ending. The only problem is its way too short.

Edit: After looking at the pictures of the CAIs on the website, it would appear MT sent me a 5.0 Mustang Cold Air Intake Kit (94-95 GT) intake instead of the one I ordered. Or at least a V6 one with a 94-95 GT J-pipe.

Edit #2:After buying some tubing and some smaller valve seals, I was able to get the the hose on to the metal tube extension. I simple plugged the extra hole that had the rubber grommet with a short bolt and another valve seal.

I'm running this CAI with a GT 2.5inch catback and magnaflow mufflers. Car is now a bit faster off the line and faster in mid range rpms. Also sounds throatier.
