Default Programming/Performance Questions

Greetings all, new to board and I am looking for info on programming setups for 60pin processors. I am currently building a restromod Cougar and will be installing a 92 5.0L. with an auto trans. I have a set of Kutchen heads ported, polished, SS valve and plan on installing a nc2000 blower. I can't seem to find any info on programmers/chips for the PCM or ideal setups. All my searches bring up 4.6 stuff.

I am thinking of using a GT-40 intake or an aftermarket and would like experienced opinions of these. Should I use 24 or 30lb. injectors with 6-8 psi boost?

Thanks for any replies.

I'll do these in order.
There wasn't too much available for programming 5.0 and most of the chips sucked. Ford Motorsports made an extender that waas like $800 that you could play with your fuel tables and such. I'm not sure if they still do it or not. I think the best bet would be a Dyno tune

I haven't played with a 5.0 in a few yearsa but I've done the Edelbrock, GT40, Cobra and Trick Flow intakes (all street versions). I like the Trick Flow the most for looks and I have to say the Edelbrock seemed to flow the best. The GT40 looks cool too but can't be ported while the Cobra has lots of room to be Extrude Honed. It's really a matter of personal taste and runner length. There are some really extreme short runner versions out there that flow great at high RPM but lose low RMP velocity and sacrafice torque. I've seen a new BBK intake out that looks totally different than the typical design. I've always liked BBK's products and fit and the design is worth looking at.

Unless you're going to run an FMU with the 24s, I would go with the 32s. With high flowing heads and a SC, you'll want the extra capacity of the larger injectors... That's just my free 2 cents

Thanks for the reply, I have been leaning towards the e-brock and the factory 30lb. injectors out of a super coupe t-bird. The car will only be used for weekend cruising to car shows and a little street fun so I need to stay on the mellow side. I found a programmer call tweecer (tweaker), has anyone used this product and how did you like it?
