I was thinkin of getting a throttle body and new MAF... however I hear talk that You need to get a plenum or the throttle body is useless...

They dont have plenum for my year/engine on mustang tuning... looking at other sites... It seems to me that if I get the upper intake... then i also need to get the lower intake manifold... which i dont have the money for or even want...

tips or suggestions... is the a way around having to buy a lower intake?
Why don't you want an intake manifold??? They are super easy to install, buy a trick flow street intake for $395 brand new, or look on ebay. Then just buy the 94/95 adapter and you're done.

Is that for just the upper, or for upper and lower...

I am under the impression that I will have to buy both if I get 1...
1) It will not hurt your gas mileage but maybe a few mpg, per tank, and besides, you bought a v8 mustang, why are you worried about a few mpgs??
2) Yes you have to buy both, you can't stick an after market upper on the stock lower unless it is the holleysystemax 1 and good luck finding one of those around.

i wouldn't waste my money on the intakes. for the money i would buy a gear and nitrous. that'll be alot more fun.

a lower gear really makes a difference and nitrous is cheap horsepower but alot of people are afraid of it.

the sn are dogs even when they make a decent amount of power, and as the looks of it you have a vert its even heavier. the gears will help a lot, and you can use a Professional products powerplus intake, flows just as much as the edelbrock performer, and cost much less saw upper and lower for 320 on ebay

Hey Greg, gotta quick question for you....why the heck did you buy a mustang if your only going to do things half ***. listen to yourself, you want an upper but not a lower so there for your intakes aren't even going to match. Not to brite are you Greg.

Maybe he's new to the Mustang scene. No need to be hard on him. However, it sounds like he needs to do some research and read a little. I agree w/the gears and nitrous tip. Im tired of the car nickel and diming me to death ( i keep buying little things) and am just gonna throw on some nitrous and have some fun. Intakes are fine, but the choking point on our cars are the heads. We really dont see a huge gain unless we uncork that bad boy and get some heads on it.

He'll figure it out guys,,let him make all the stupid purchases we all have made in the past. :wallbash:

Guys like me don't deserve mustangs? Who the hell are you? What's wrong with nitrous on a stock 5L dumbass? Obviously you don't know as much as you think, I've had nitrous on stock 5L's before and so have plenty of others, I have it on a stock 4.6 now, it's been done for years where have you been? Did you just sell your eclipse conv. and buy a mustang? Grow up.
