Mechanically not that I know of. But I havent ever plugged a pcv port. Only thing it might do is if you have inspections where your located and they notice smog equipment missing it could be a problem

i dont know if its the same for the 5 ohs. but the modulars have to get tuned when you block the egr and pcv's.

I just recently removed all of my smog stuff and the EGR is still on the car. What I originally did is just cap the air tube that runs between the headers and EGR. Well, while the tranny was out I removed the air tube and all accessories. Only thing left to do is to remove the smog pump itself. I plugged all the vacuum ends w/rubber caps. Opened up the passenger side of the engine BUT,,,,,the dreaded check engine light came on. Only way to turn it off is to get this adapter that plugs into the EGR to make the computer think it is still working or find a tuner shop w/a TWEECER and have the EGR turned off totally. As for the PCV,,I'd leave it.

i took off my air pump and all the lines... didn't cap any of the vaccum lines, took out the egr tube that runs from the intake to the header, blocked off the port on the header and left the egr on the intake, plug still in and all.. car runs just fine, no problems, and no check engine light.. pcv , haven't touched it..
