catalytic converter glowning red HOT!!

:flamed:i put new Exhaust on my 1995 mustang gt, after doing that my car feels slower and bogs when pushing the gas down. i was told to unplug the FPR vacum and see if the idle would change. if it did, i was told it was good and if it didn't it was bad? is that true? my idle when cold is all over and i have to keep it at idle with pushing the gas, also it bogs out when trying to race. i was reading on another forum that it could be my coil? i changed my plugs, wires and it new exhaust. can anyone help me out please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1995 Mustang GT 5.0,347 stocker kit,frick flow uper and lower intake with a 1" spacer,AFR aluminum heads and more to add......:t:
