i have a 88 gt with a stock motor except for shorty headers new plugs,wires,373 gears, and a short throw shifter. i havent run at the track yet caue its winter here. just wondering what kind of 1/4 mile times i can expect from it. it also has a set of draglites and bf goodwrench dot drag radials. thanks

low 14's maybe top 13's I'd guess. Stock foxes weren't that hot out of the box but they're loaded with potential. The gears and sticky tires help but without more gumption I don't think it'll do much better than that.

whats your base timing set at?

advancing timing is free horsepower. If you can get it to hook up and powershift the whole way through with 14-15* advance you should see mid 13's or better.

Here is an important question, where do you live as in what is the altitude.

I agree with stanger00. and spike asked a very good question.

i'd go with 13.70's.

well it was a day at the track and after several pulls i ran a 14.5 consistantly but my best time was a 14.3. my best 60 foot was 2.0 but it ran 2.2 all day. i just cant get it to hook up. even after i droped the tire pressure to about 25 pounds.

I gotta say 14.3 my buddy had a 93 with headers that could only hit 14.5 (auto).

a 5.0 with IHC will easily get you 13's if not if not high 12's with the right driver on a manuel with decent tires but I can say that gears are a big difference depending on what you go with (I hope 4.10s)
