Default 5 lug conversion

just a quick question that im asking for another friend actualy...he has a 89' fox and wants to do the 5 lug conversion, he was going to get the front end parts from a 94-95(i guess those will fit) and then just get some superior rear axels for the back or somthing to that effect anyways!! i had mentioned that i thought i had seen an actual 5 lug conversion "kit" that som1 sells..i coulldnt find it on american muscle, but i know its gotta be out their. if any1 knows where to find this kit or has any experience with doing the 5 lug swap please let me know what you know thanx

the 94-98 axles are an inch wider than the 79-93's (on each side I think). He needs to go to Maximum Motorsports or Steeda, etc... and get one of their 5lug kits. If you use the longer axle then you'll almost certainly have some issues fitting the wheels in back without rubbing or even direct interference.

ooo i must have worded that kind of funny..we are under the impression that we can use the fronts off of a 94-98 but the rear would have back spacing issues if we used the backs from a 94-98 so thats why he was trying to find somthing else to get..thanx for the tip on the Maximum motorsports an steeda ideas!

ahh... thought it read kinda odd.

Yes, you can do a SN95 front spindle. Nonetheless, I'd call Maximum Motorsports first. They know what they're doing on 5-lug swaps.
