Default 351w in my fox ??good idea or not...

I'm running a 347 right now with everything forged w/heads,intake,stock block,cam,42lb injectors with a vortech s-trim 11 psi,Bassani long tubes and so on and a tremec 3550
I havent had the car on the dyno yet but I see guys making between 480hp-545 I want to get more power but afraid to break the block want the car more reliable and cant aford a dart block I was thinking going 351w and like a 30 over bore for a 358ci what parts on my fox now could I use on the 351 and what parts would I have to get?? Or should I just suck it up and buy the dart block a T-trim blower and crank some boost..

depends on what you want to do... i personally would suck it up and get a dart w/ a blower.

also, if you get a 351w it will have to be passed by some type of regulator... at least i was told that from some smog people i know, and that may only apply in california.

the 351 still suffers the same fragility issues as the 302 if to a lesser extent. What I'd do is find a Mexican 302 block from something like a mid 70's mustang II or truck. They're a good bit stronger than siamese bore and not quite as nasty expensive as a Dart block. I have a couple friends with stroked and poked 351's (all 408's now) running 14-16lbs of boost from SQ and T trim blowers and they're making scary power with no problems on siamese bore blocks but these are street cars. If you're going to race as much as you street drive get the dart. Otherwise a mexi-block should work.
